Description: The NDMPL (Washington State Non-Department of Natural Resources Major Public Lands) data contains ownership parcels for Federal, State (excluding WA DNR), County and City lands within the State of Washington. It also includes Tribal administrative boundaries. The NDMPL data layer is a polygon coverage and does not contain arc attribute information for ownership boundaries. This data is not connected to WA DNR's Cadastre layers or to the POCA layer (these data include WADNR ownership, Public Land Survey System and other cadastral data). So, as updates are made to POCA and Cadastre layers, they are not reflected in NDMPL.

To support the effective administration of these lands, the agency applies a hierarchy of administrative designations. Individual property acquisitions may be grouped to represent the lowest tier of a three-tier hierarchy, the Wildlife Area Unit. Wildlife Area Units can be grouped to create Wildlife Areas; and Wildlife Areas can be grouped to form Wildlife Area Complexes.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
